It's interesting to know that it was later scrapped for being inappropriate for the time, and because Nickelodeon disapproved of the gag idea.

It's funny, they DID have instruments of torture in the one birthday special, courtesy of Plankton. Also, I think they put the Squidward getting burnt scene, because I definitely remember seeing it when I binged the show last month. But the second movie is definitely my favorite. Regardless of how they came to be, I enjoyed the live segments with their Pirates and Avengers references.

Funny since, the show is TV Y for 4-11 year olds and up and has a lot of adult jokes.

Originally when the movie was on nickelodeon, there was a scene after the end credits where we see the pirates and the movie in their theater has finished. A female employee comes to clean up the mess the pirates have made and tells them it's time for them to leave (because as previously stated in my comment the movie has ended). The captain gets up, draws his sword and says "say that again if you dare" the employee repeats her statement "it is time for you to leave." The captain comprehends what she meant, obliges, and the pirates get up to leave as the employee starts to sweep away the spilled popcorn. I don't know why they stopped showing this scene...just thought I'd mention it. Even when I was little I understood that Spongebob and Patrick were getting drunk off the ice cream 🤣🤣 Edit: In the deleted scene from Procrastination why did Sandy look like she was poorly dropped into the scene? I mean seriously, she looks stiff...

I remember when the red mist scene from "Spongebob in Randomland" aired only within the first day(s) of the episode's release before it was replaced with infant squidward for good. When I first watched the episode, I thought "oh cool, a creepypasta reference". But when I watched the same episode a few days later, I didn't see the red mist scene anywhere within the episode. Because the episode always shown the second version always aired instead of the first, I thought that all the creepypastas I was reading was getting to my head. The dozens of youtube videos though that talk about the reference in the episode, just now confirmed that, what I saw was real.
