5 Worst/Best Bob's Burgers Episodes

This show is a strange comfort for me. Maybe it’s because so many adult cartoons are trying to be so edgy and twisted, but the quirky, awkward fun of this family is so intriguing. I don’t bust out laughing but just give off a chuckle and feel good. But that’s okay. But maybe this show is not for everyone if they want to watch wild exaggerated adult cartoon shows with extreme crude humor. This is a much more mild mannered fun show.

When it comes to adult animation, I find the best of it often comes when it’s not trying to be overly edgy. Shows like Simpsons, Futurama, Bojack Horseman, American Dad (for the most part), and Bob’s Burgers. I think the only show that did edgy humor right was South Park, and even then that show can really suck at times.

Not Bobs Burgers related Fun fact: Kangaroos are considered pests in Australia, hence the legality of KangaBangas Kangaroo Sausage.

This show is like SpongeBob, it can be for all ages.

I am surprised Family Fracas didn't make it on this list considering Bob's cheated out of victory twice, he's left no better than when he started, and Jimmy's only karmic justice is a flat tire. While I don't hate it, I totally get why people consider it to be awful. But hey if Bob's Burger's can go 10 seasons and the lowest score it can get is just under 7, it goes to show how likeable the show can be even after 10 seasons

The only actually GOOD episode to ME is the collab episode.

I enjoy bobs burgers, even episodes that are considered bad episodes

I relate too much to the couch episode, as that I could call it bad. It reminded me of the car we had to give up. Loved it to bits and I wished we would have kept it. We now have exactly the same model, but it will never be the same. Edit: Topsy is definitely one of the best, you're so right

I honestly think that Bob’s Burgers is the perfect representation of a 5-person middle-class family (especially with all of the quirks and yelling). I love every episode of it (Beefsquatch being one of my favorites behind the last gingerbread house on the left). It manages to make the characters relatable and endearing; something that only classic Simpsons did, and Family Guy never did for me. And this show has a damn good soundtrack, every song is catchy and harmonically beautiful. This is what happens when a cartoon is created by a composer.

I'd switch the Hauntening (boring) and Late Afternoon in the Garden with Bob and Louise (love that episode) Do agree Gene pretending be Bob is one of the funniest scenes in the show Disagree about Tammy. Imo the worst character is Gayle. Can't stand her! I liked Brunchsquatch for seeing all the different designs on the characters but the actually storyline was lackluster. Sleeping with the Frenemy is a great episode. Some of my faves: The Belchies, Bob Fires the Kids, Mother Daughter Laser Razor, Carpe Museum, Slumber Party, Sliding Bobs, The Cook the Steve the Gayle & Her Lover, Stand by Gene Dislike: It Snakes a Village, Sexy Dance Fighting, L'il Hard Dad, The Gene and Courtney Show, Larger Brother Where Fart Though, Last Gingerbread House on the Left, There's No Business Like Mr. Business Business, Like Gene for Chocolate

Even the worst episodes on this list are marvelous compared to other adult cartoons at their worst. I can still get a laugh and some enjoyment out of beefsquach and sleeping with the frienemy unlike brian's a bad father

So many thoughts. I agree with many of your choices-love the song from the Glued episode. I do Not agree with the #1 worst, while annoying, it isn't the worst. The episode where Linda goes crazy trying to show Tina the great things about their town- AWFUL! And the episode where Linda goes crazy trying to get to the symphony while her family has pinworms-So Bad!!

It’s funny that I came across this video now because the most recent episode that released (the one where Linda forces the fam to take a Christmas card pic) was so bad. Linda was acting so out of character and the problems felt so forced

I would say the song in Glued, where’s my Bob(Sorry I don’t know the name) is really, really good. But Look what Tina can do with her hands is the king. Also where is the episode where there is a water balloon fight at the Fishoeders house, or the one where Gale dates Mr. Frond?

I love the garden episode! The musical is my favorite. Tho I agreed that Louise's bully is bad, I really liked Bob has such a wonderful hobby!

I’ve never seen a “bad” episode, but I’ve definitely seen boring ones. Drumforgiven was the most boring of the series, it followed the same formula of Louise not listening to anybody until the end of the episode where she feels bad for messing things up, lather rinse repeat. There were almost no jokes in the entire episode or comedic situations, it was just going through the motions. But I’d rather watch that a hundred times than the recent episodes of Simpsons or Family Guy

9:01 that right there is how I feel about scary movies and scary themed stories it’s not the blood or gore that make something scary, it’s the slow burn, atmosphere and suspense useing jump scares only sometimes. And just when you get a false since of security BAM! The scary thing strikes.

Bobs burgers is underrated, it’s got that weird charm of its that’s not only entertaining and feels safe and real. It’s hards to figure out but overtime it grows on you the show is adult because it it doesn’t really on vulgar or gross out humour to make us laugh it feels like the show the family can watch.

Boo is the mvp of the show.

I mean if characters were never greedy or blindsided it wouldn't build their depth. You learn from characters poor points and that makes the episodes good

Well I’m just happy that we can agree on two things about this show and that’s 1 Topsey is a great episode and 2 that Tammy is just a huge mangus son of a *B*-Word and i freaking HATE her and i don’t care if see 13 years old i still HATE Tammy, well i hope you have a great day/night.

Not to be too nitpicky here, but I think you accidentally called Topsy one of the worst. Also in Bob actually you didn't talk about Louise's story at all. Just little things I noticed and I don't see anyone really ever sharing their least favorites from Bob's Burgers so I like hearing yours reasons. I personally don't like the pilot, which i kind of give a pass to, but I also don't like the Dr. Yap episode or My fat Greek Bob. Other than that I'm very forgiving and love this show, it's always my go too when I am bored.

My personal worst episode is "The Grand Mama Pest Hotel". It just reminds me of the worst attributes of my own mother. Smothering, over-stepping, unaware of how her actions can humiliate me or my sister in public, even now that we are adults and have kids of our own. She even tried to over-step when my son was a newborn, and acted like I had crossed a line when I told her to give me and my husband a week without visitors after we FINALLY got home with him. The worst part is that I love the b-plot of the episode, but the anxiety the main part of the episode elicits in me overrides the fun of the b-plot.

I disagree that there are bad episodes of bobs burgers.

Maybe not episodes, but one of my least favorite -elements- of the show is when the family seems to take one step forward and two steps back. The couch one is a good example of this (just get a new couch dammit!) but also when bob does something to improve the restaurant but ends up throwing it all away. Some examples I can think of: giving the restaurant a theme, having the arcade machine, growing fresh vegetables, adding sweet potato fries to the menu (cmon, bob!) I know they’re not real people but it’s frustrating to root for their success and not see any progress (Also I can’t believe the cruise episode didn’t make the top five worst! I skip it every time)

There’s no TERRIBLE episodes (like there is for Simpsons and Family Guy), but the worst one and the only one I won’t rewatch is ‘Mutiny on the Windbreaker.’ It was just a little too ridiculous, especially when Louise grew her nails out. I’m also not a big fan of that episode where Gayle enters her cat in some kind of contest. Gayle can be pretty insufferable.

I love Bobs burgers. I make it a tradition to watch the Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas episodes while I’m cooking every year. Full bars will always be my favorite episode. That episode with gene being his usual self and throwing a tantrum is the worst. If you pay attention throughout all the seasons, gene is always like that. This episode really gives you it full blown. Honestly, he just really annoys me. I always fight the urge to punch him everytime he speaks, and he’s only a cartoon.

You're definitely wrong about the garden episode. It's actually one of the best.. The song is really amazing and the character development is actually on point. These characters are flawed and that what makes them compelling, Nobody wants perfect characters, That would be boring. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't love this episode.

Dude, this list sucks. Edit: Ok. Let me evaluate. Your number one worst is SUPPOSED to make you mad. It's family animation so you don't have to keep the characters consistent. That's dumb. In Beef Squatch, there's no reason Bob getting mad at Gene should get under your skin. Literally the only one I agree with is that mommy boy episode. That one is actually horrible.

I actually like the Couch episode.😅 it just stupid enough for me and Wanda Sykes’ dead pan delivery on her lines is enjoyable to me. And one of my favorite lines in the whole show is from that episode. Linda: It’s you, The Sofa Queen! Sofa Queen: and it’s you, lady crying in the store. I think that’s funny.🤣

It Snakes a Village is still the worst episode. Uncomfortable, dull (its 1 joke the entire episode) and there is no character arch where there should have been. Linda has a last minute heal turn for no reason and that passes for an arch. B plot is passable but nothing that saves the episode. The episode ruined Linda's parents and just was not funny.

Actually, 22:45 they didn't forget her, she went off of the cruise ship to buy lip gloss, and the ship took off without her.

Ugh, yes, that couch episode drives me bananas... no family that financially destitute would let some band burn a brand new couch. They’d just toss that old one in the basement and enjoy the new one.

Gene is a little obsessed with his mom but he’s a child, the show makes us think the kids are older than they are. Also, the garden episode is so good lmao. i love when bob gets crazy 😂 also season 11 has NOT been my favorite season, i love the kids but it’s too much about them. i miss the linda/bob centered episodes p.s if you can’t tell i am in love with this show
